4 years of research went into this film. It is based on de-classified archival documents from the Office of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Omsk region. References from Vasily Vasilievich Aborenkov as of July 7th 1941 reveal the actions of Captain Ivan Andreevich Flerov’s battery (5 volleys fired by July 24th 1941) with a high degree of certainty. He also acknowledges that there are still unknown dates and locations of other possible volleys.
In the second part of the film, these possible volleys or hypotheses are presented but reliable archival documentation is still missing.
